Rheinromantik - Photo book

The photo book was created from the photo project "Rheinromantik" and combines a selection of analogue black and white photographs with a few short texts. The recordings in the book were taken between 2021 and 2023 and were recorded on film using analogue technology. "If you look closely, a walk along the Rhine can also mean a departure for new shores. And the Rhine Valley is very multifaceted - it combines many opposites, which can create exciting motifs. On the one hand, there is the transfigured romanticism of the Rhine , which in Rüdesheim is used to give tourists the next round of Asbach Uralt. And right next to the heroic legends there is the busy waterway, which is also used by jet skis, canoeists and rubber boat artists. There are the beautiful palaces and castles high above the valley - but also a lot of flakes of once upon a time in the small towns on the river, where a freight train rumbles through the backyards every 5 minutes. I have always been attracted to these opposites, and so I set out to find my very own Embark on Rhine romanticism."
